This is my review and how I see it. In Heart of Glass, author Lolah Lace gives a look at what someone will do when they are desperate.
Kelby – she lost her man, her job and she was about to be homeless.
Tonio – a celebrity who wanted to pay for a woman’s time who wasn’t an escort.
First, let me get this out. This book might not be your cup of tea if you cannot abide a woman talking her friend into making some fast money the easy way. It has been done since the beginning of time, as a matter of fact. Now back to my review…Lahaisha offers Kelby a way to make some money. Kelby could have told her no, sleazebag she didn’t cause to me she wanted a way to move away from her sleazy ex and his trifling baby mama.
Anywho…Tonio I believe was looking for love and he caught feelings too, otherwise, way did he come back a second time. Yes, he was an unlikeable and yes a bit on the cray cray when he ended things the first time, but that was his fault. He told her that he was going to make her fall in love with him and he did. This right here is like that old adage of ‘Be careful what you wish for it might just come true.’
Now, what surprised me was what happened at the end, but then again if you play with fire you tend to get burned. I can’t read the next book in this series.
