Rose Marie’s The Irish Don’s Black Beauty Part One, left me on the fence. I was good, but it could have been better. The heroine is seventeen for the majority of the story, she has a best friend who is into some very kinky family stuff. Kahlani is ‘in love’ with the Irish boy Conner O’Shea who keeps to himself, and we find out why. Conner is the heir to the Irish mafia and is one scary dude. Kahlani wanted Conner that she overlooked a lot of things, he gave her an out and she refused to take it.
The story, although good was very roughly written. I could not follow some parts well when Conner was speaking. This story ends on a cliffhanger, and I have to give Margo props she got her revenge on both Conner and his dad at the same time. I was expecting characters over the ages of 18. The lead female was seventeen for the majority of this book.
- Do I want to know the rest of the story?
- Will this story play out how I think it will?
- And when did they get married?
- Her father should have warned her!
