The Princess and the Gladiator a novella by author Twyla Turner. Princess Nyame of Symaaria has just learned that she will not marry for love as she previously believed. Her father wants more power and has gathered together several kingdoms together and the victor will have her has their bride.
The gladiator Cassius of Rome has stood out to Nyame. Her heart beats for him and she will stop at nothing to have him even risking death to them both. There is a twist to this story and his name is Marcellus. Marcellus the emperor of Rome will stop at nothing to have Nyame, even if it means to kill his prized gladiator Cassius.
Side note: the only part of this story I didn’t like was when Damya the Queen, informs her daughter Nyame that if she must to take a lover or she will provide her with something that will allow her to tolerate her husband’s advances.
I enjoyed reading this story for the most part.
