Book review | My thoughts—Cask & Cream

My first read by author K.K. Harris. Yvette ‘Vette’ Devereux is a talented marketing executive of her own company. She meets Grant O’Hare at a party of a client and there conversation became more personal than professional. After a night of passion, Vette and Grant, turned into a friends with benefits arrangement. Things started to go left after meeting his mother at a charity event. I was very disappointed with this story. The writing is a bit rough and the story needed more structure.

Here is what I didn’t like about the book:

  • The misuse of Mrs. when referring to a single woman. The author states that Vette had never been married yet she is referred as Mrs. Devereux.
  • A woman organisms, she doesn’t skeet.
  • Missing words in some sentences.
  • The lack of transitions. How much time before the prologue?
