Book review | My thoughts—Alien Awakening

A Sikarian novella by author Regine Abel. Twenty-seven year old Malaika is changing and she doesn’t know why. She and several other people are on their way to another facility hoping to get the answers or a cure to what is changing them. Once she and the others arrive at the facility, they are greeted by the staff and four people in hooded robes. Malaika is drawn to one of the hooded people that for a moment she stops in her tracks. Soon she meets Zayek and learns she is turning into a Thalan. There initial meeting is met with a bit of misunderstanding when Malaika wakes up in her bed with Zayek. Zayek as found his mate and he gets to mentor her. He is afraid that he may have a little competition in Luca who arrives at the facility with Malaika. As Malaika continues her transition she is concerned with leaving her old life behind especially since Zayek has put a name to what they are to each other. What will happen next for Malaika? I enjoyed reading this story and would recommend it to anyone who enjoys a sci-fi romance.
