Book review | My thoughts—One Last Play

In Aja Cole’s second chance, sports romance Thea James has moved on with her life, but the secret she kept for five years shows up unexpectedly. Luciano Silva, a futbol player, has come to the states seeking her help. It seems that someone is out to tarnish his image and he needs her help to dispel the rumors before the story breaks. Luciano also wants to know why she ghosted him without an explanation of what went wrong. They will discover what happened and the person who played a part in the duplicity in breaking up their marriage. I enjoyed reading this story, but it was obvious that Thea wasn’t mature enough to be in a relationship or married at eighteen. Their fights were volatile, and the lack of communication was evident—a well-written story with some other character favorites.
